Family Law: Parent and Child is a survey course that introduces students to the fundamental concepts of family law as it pertains to the legal regulation of the relationship of parent and child. The topics covered in the course include the right to privacy and reproductive autonomy, the rights of unmarried parents and their children, child welfare law, the foster care system, termination of parental rights, autonomy rights of children, adoption, and assisted reproductive technologies.



939 - Sel Prob Family Law: Parent & Child

This course will cover practical issues in the law involving parents and children, including how paternity is established; the filings that are part of the process; custody, placement, and child support considerations; motions after judgment; guardians ad litem; domestic violence screening; orders of protection; child welfare law.
